Away from capellagården
Away from capellagården
An evening and a day out
28 March 2009
Torleif Johansen, head of ceramics at Capellagården and his wife invited me for supper on Thursday evening.. en-route to his home we called n at their re-construction project. They’ve bought a very old traditional farmhouse and outbuildings which will eventually become their home.. here’s Torleif and farmhouse.
North Öland a studio, forest and the sea..........
Today I’ve been on a drive north to Byxelkrok to visit Caroline Möller - potter, who works and lives in an idyllic place in the woods next to the sea. Caroline came on one of my Vitrified Print courses at Guldagergård Denmark a few years ago... so it was great to see her again and visit her beautiful home and studio. Above - Caroline with her home made light box for making photo-silkscreens (extractor fan for use with oxides and glaze materials above), and some of her printed ceramics. Below - the garden, view through the trees to the sea....
I went for a bike ride in the woods just south of Byxelkrok............
From the drive back to Capella..............
