I’m currently writing up the final parts of my Phd thesis (more on this at a later date), so the rest of the morning was taken up with that, some historical sections gone over and re-checked. If you’ve ever been in the slightest bit interested in blue and white printed pottery, there’s a wealth of information collated and published by various collector groups. The two main ones are Friends of Blue and the Transferware Collectors Club, and unbelievably there are links off to other groups including the Flow Blue Collectors and the Willow Society.. (Gerry and Stephen, you really should check that one out...)

Have also been working on new forms for the next soda firing, some nice pots and a Willow Tree after Bernard Leach, but also had to unpack a kiln, this time not my work, but that of friend Scott Rench who was working here a few weeks ago. Much to my relief all was fine with the firing... and here’s a few snaps of the work....
